Poetry: "Behind Bars"

Poetry:  "Behind Bars"  [Note: I have never been in trouble with the law, so this poem is merely speculation based on tv shows and movies I have seen.]

Lawyers and judges and weights in the yard
Boredom and violence and long games of cards
Riots and tear gas and corruptible guards
Unhealthy repasts and meals cooked in lard
TVs and toilets and shanks in the neck
"Noone saw nothing", just shuffle the deck
Gangs and young killers and lifers resigned
To a life behind bars, a world in a bind... (tbc?)
