Sci-Fi Bri's Television : "Terra Nova"

Sci-Fi Bri's Television: "Terra Nova" (on Fox, Mondays at 8:00 pm. Eastern Time)

In the near future, with the earth facing a cataclysmic man-mad environmental catastrophe, a family gets the chance to start over 85 million years in the past. Problem is, the father, an ex-cop turned convict, has to break out of prison to join his family; and his youngest daughter has to be sneaked in luggage to be able to go with them due to strict overpopulation laws. Although the Terra Nova colony has bright sun, fresh air, and beautiful surroundings, it also has large and/or dangerous beasts such as Carnosaurs (think T. Rex) and 'rippers' (like velociraptors with knife-like tails), plus treacherous human rebels known as "sixers". Like a cinematic combination of "Jurassic Park" and "Avatar", starring Stephen Lang ("Avatar") and produced by Stephen Speilberg.
